It washes out the poo

We finally got the new washer installed next to the new dryer that we got last week. I let Neil buy whatever he thought was best and he got me a front loader (which I think is sweeeeeeet!) However, its a high efficiency washer which ultimately is awesome but we use cloth diapers. Cloth diapers are very absorbent and with only 2-4 inches of water sloshing around in there it's not really getting them clean. I've had to do some research online to find out what others have done and found a few good tricks. I also make my own laundry detergent and was really bummed at first because I thought I couldnt use it anymore. However, I have found a few websites that show me how to adjust the homemade detergent for HE washer use.

I must also say that, for once, I am grateful to have had Larry around. Neil had to work when the washer was getting delivered and Neil asked Larry if he would come over to stay with me and the kids while they delivered and hooked it up. The guys turned out to be really creepy and the one installer made a couple of crude passes at me. Thank goodness Larry was there to pause unnecessarily between each phrase and assert all of his washing machine knowledge upon them. This bombardment got them out of the house quickly.
