Wasted Metal

Neil finally got motivated to sell our Dodge Caravan a few months ago however shortly after we put it up for sale it quit starting. After a few weekends of trying everything under the sun to get it to work the conclusion was reached that it must be a computer issue which we couldn't fix here at the house.

Neil was going to take it to the dealership for an evaluation but he hasn't yet. It's been sitting in our driveway with a 'For Sale' sign on it but we can't sell it, because it's not running and we need to get enough out of it to pay off the rest of the loan.

Oh yeah, Not Running but still Paying for it!

Today, I was attempting to drive the Mercury Villager out of the neighborhood to pick up some sleeping bags (yay for cheap-ass stuff on Craigslist) for our camping trip at the end of the summer when the brakes decided to stop working. We just had the brakes fixed on the damn thing when we went on our trip to IL.

So now I have two silver vans sitting in my driveway and I cant drive either one of them. We had better have a working van before I have this baby next week.

Thats the best part of owning a car in MI, as soon as you fix one rusted out part another one is going to go.

How come you didnt call to have the Dodge towed to the shop?

I'm not allowed to call about things like that without the biggest fight ever erupting.

If he doesn't do it himself then its wrong and I have taken his manhood.

What you need to start doing is giving him a time limit. Say, "Ill give you 1 week to be a man and then after that Im taking if from you." If he doesnt get his shit together get your strap on out and you take over and do it your way.

Also call him a bitch if he doesnt get it done.

I usually just call him Larry if it doesnt get done. That seems to work well most of the time.
